Your pre-treatment consultation with Dr Kimilu will take around 30 minutes. You will be required to complete a medical history questionnaire, which Dr Kimilu will discuss with you once completed.
Dr Kimilu will discuss the treatment of your choice, and he will want to hear about your ideals, expectations, and desired outcomes. A short physical examination will take place, where Dr Kimilu will be able to advise on how he can enhance what you currently have, and the amount of filler required to achieve the desired outcome.
After the consultation, Dr Kimilu will make an informed decision and advise you of the best course of treatment. He will explain how the treatment will be performed, the product to be used, the benefits, and the realistic outcomes. It is vital to understand any potential risks and the limitations of the procedure. Dr Kimilu will stress the importance of following the aftercare procedures to achieve the best results. You will also receive a copy of the patient aftercare instructions to follow when you return home.
The price and choice of product will be discussed with you. Dr Kimilu recommends a 2-week cooling-off period to ensure you are 100% sure you want to proceed. However, if you request it, the treatment can be carried out on the same day, provided Dr Kimilu is satisfied with the information on your medical history questionnaire.
On the day of treatment, you will be at the clinic for around an hour. You will be given numbing crème to apply for at least 25 minutes prior to the procedure, after which you can relax in the waiting room. You will always be in a private room with no other patients present. Dr Kimilu will then take you into the treatment room, outline the procedure, and show you the fillers to be used. The treatment itself will take around 20-30 minutes. He will also demonstrate how to massage the area and ensure you understand the aftercare instructions for home.
Before you are discharged, you will be provided with a course of antibiotics and important aftercare information. You will also receive a direct clinic contact number in case you need to speak with the clinic at any point.
