It’s no secret that there are a lot of available options when it comes to penis fillers and other penile enhancement solutions. As with a lot of cosmetic treatments, there will always be cheap, unreliable options that may look good on paper, but are risky and produce poor results.
The same is true for penis enlargement. If you’re considering penis fillers, it’s vital that you choose a clinic you trust, one that is only providing fillers that have been tested and approved by the experts.
Are Penis Fillers Regulated in the UK?
The short answer to this is no, but it is more complicated than that. While it is true that there is no governing body in the UK that approves the use of HA fillers for penis enlargement, the fillers themselves are regulated.
Some cosmetic fillers that are used for facial treatments can also be used for penile enhancement. The goal is the same, you want to reshape the face or the penis, so injections of these fillers do so.
Cosmetic fillers are regulated by the Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency (MHRA). They ensure that any medicine or device is safe to use, is produced humanely, and does what it is supposed to via a strict framework.
However, the MHRA, despite its efforts, cannot always keep up with the wide array of cosmetic medicines that become available, so it is possible that some slip through the cracks that should not be accessible in the UK.
Thankfully, it is easy to know if medicines are regulated or not.
Ensuring the Safety of Penis Fillers
To see if a HA filler has been approved by the MHRA, check for the PL number on the packaging. You can also check the official MHRA database to see if the product is listed, a better option if you’re trusting a clinic to use a certain filler during the procedure.
Some less reputable clinics are aware of this, and take measures to hide the fact that they’re using unregulated fillers. They’ll have a trusted brand and its products on their website, but those aren’t the ones used for the treatment itself. The trusted brands may include:
- Voluma/Volux Juvederm by Abbvie/Allergan
The box may look legitimate, but actually contains an imported filler that isn’t regulated. This is a rare occurrence, but it just goes to show how some clinics will go to great lengths to cut corners in favour of higher profits.
We always recommend that if you see a particularly low price for a well-known brand of filler, it’s too good to be true and should be avoided. Although penis fillers are reversible, poor quality treatments carry a higher risk, so you should always value your health more than finding a bargain.
Why you Shouldn’t go Abroad for Penis Enlargement
For men who do look for the cheapest ways to increase penis size, they often find lucrative treatments outside of the UK. This is because those countries don’t have the same strict regulation processes as the UK, and can therefore sell/provide cheaper, riskier treatments without the risk of legal action.
If you are considering going abroad for your treatment, we strongly recommend that you reconsider, and instead use a UK clinic with a good reputation. While some UK penis enlargement clinics use imported fillers, as we mentioned earlier, these can be avoided with some research and wariness on your part.
The Importance of Choosing the Right Clinic
So what’s the problem with choosing a clinic that uses unregulated fillers? Well, while those fillers may still be effective, increasing the girth of your penis as advertised, the risks are higher.
Penis fillers are much safer than their surgical counterparts, and are reversible. However, there is still a risk of infection. At the MHCNW, we do everything possible to reduce this risk, including:

If you cannot identify which brand of filler was used, it can be harder to find the necessary enzyme solution that will dissolve it. This is rare, but something you should always keep in mind.
