There are a lot of counterfeit penis enlargement fillers currently in circulation. Even clinics that look trustworthy may use them to cut costs, making the usually risk-free method for penis enlargement a lot more hazardous.
If you’re considering any form of penile enhancement, it’s important that you avoid these fillers, and only go to a clinic that takes your health seriously.
Don’t worry, we’re here to help.
What are Counterfeit Penis Fillers?
Counterfeit penis enlargement fillers are usually poor quality, cheap fillers that are packaged to look like a well-known brand such as Perfectha or Juvederm.
If you’ve done some research, you’ll know that these fillers are the best, but sometimes it’s just the packaging, and the filler itself isn’t the product it should be.
The fillers are instead untested, and not approved by governing bodies. All cosmetic fillers have to follow strict regulations to ensure their safety, but it’s concerningly easy for clinics to import fillers from abroad that haven’t been through the same processes. If you hear stories about penis enlargement fillers not working, this is usually the reason why.
The Issues with Counterfeit Fillers
When we call a filler ‘poor quality’, that means that the compound isn’t as durable as more reliable fillers. This means poor adhesion, so your penis will become lumpy and uneven as the compound doesn’t spread evenly.
The results also won’t last as long. One of the few downsides of penis enlargement fillers is that they need to be ‘topped up’ with additional injections after a period of time, as the filler is slowly absorbed by the body. Quality fillers last 12 months and longer, while counterfeits will be absorbed faster.
It’s also recommended to use the same fillers for top-ups, which becomes a lot more difficult if the filler wasn’t the brand it was supposed to be.
But these issues are minor compared to how dangerous counterfeit HA fillers can be.
The Risks of Counterfeit Fillers
Using a counterfeit filler can put your health at risk. As mentioned, the fillers we use in our clinic have all been rigorously tested prior to release and are from trusted manufacturers, so you know that they are safe to use.
Counterfeit fillers cannot guarantee this. They can contain harmful chemicals that lead to issues later on. Often the clinics using these cheap fillers also cut corners when it comes to aftercare, so you’ll be left on your own if there is an issue further down the line.
All HA fillers can potentially cause infection. No matter how sterilised the equipment is, or how careful you are with aftercare, there will always be a small chance. Far lower than with surgeries, but there is a chance, nonetheless.
The chance of infection is much higher with counterfeit fillers. If something does go wrong and you need to seek medical attention, not knowing what filler was used can also complicate things, as different enzyme solutions are used for different fillers.
Clearly, you want to avoid these fillers as much as possible, but some clinics won’t give you much of a choice. Thankfully there are some ways to avoid them.
How to Tell if HA Fillers are Counterfeit
Some clinics use counterfeit HA fillers to save money, boxing them up to mimic a more trusted brand. This means that you won’t be able to tell if the filler is genuine via the box alone, and need to spot the red flags sooner.
The most obvious one is the price. There are no legitimate bargains in penile enhancement, the prices are inflexible because of the quality of the fillers. So if you see a price for a well-known brand that is much lower than the average, it’s almost certainly counterfeit or there are some strings attached.
The packaging also contains a clue as to how authentic a filler is. Every box will feature a CE logo and a four-digit number. This shows that the product has been independently assessed and certified in the EU. UK-produced fillers will also have a UKCA logo – it’s worth checking for this if you’re trying to avoid imported fillers.
If the filler is poor quality, you won’t know until the filler has settled. You may receive some compensation if you aren’t satisfied with the results, but clinics will do everything possible to avoid that.
Some clinics look very trustworthy, but it’s always a good idea to do some digging to find out how long they’ve been operating, and find as many reviews as possible in case they’ve tried to hide them.
Or you can make things simpler and just use us.
