With any medical procedure, you usually expect some level of aftercare while you recover or just to be on the safe side. The same is true for penis enlargement. Whether you decided to take the surgical route or much safer HA fillers, you’ll need to take it easy for a while just to let things settle down.
This is something we’re always transparent about with our clients, so decided to share the information
here for anyone still considering penis enlargement or who just wants to learn more.
But before we discuss that, let’s briefly cover the different types of penis enlargement treatment.
Penis Enlargement Surgery
Also known as penile elongation or suspensory ligament release, this involves increasing the length of the penis by releasing the ligament that attaches the penis to the pelvis. When successful, this makes the penis appear longer thanks to the lower angle.
The extra length this surgery adds will vary, but around one inch is standard.
Penis enlargement surgery carries a lot of risks. Not only can the ligament repair itself, essentially undoing the procedure and making the penis return to its original size, but there is also a high risk of infection and other complications.
Even from a verified clinic, artificial penile lengthening is not recommended. Instead, HA fillers are far more reliable.
Penis Enlargement Fillers
This is a much simpler procedure than involves injecting HA (hyaluronic acid) fillers into the penis to make it thicker, and therefore look and feel bigger.
These injections can also be used to correct imperfections in the penis, such as a misshapen head or curve that you aren’t happy with or is affected performance in the bedroom.
Hyaluronic acid is something the body naturally produces, so you aren’t introducing any foreign chemicals, and the process is pain-free as the injections also contain a strong painkiller.
HA fillers are much safer than surgeries, and there is a lower risk of infection. Although the changes will slowly revert back to normal after 12-24months, it’s easy to top them up whenever you need a confidence boost.
And if you aren’t 100% satisfied with the results, or there is a complication, we can reverse it immediately with an alkaline injection. This is something that you cannot achieve with artificial lengthening.
Does Penis Enlargement Require Aftercare?

Before and during the procedure, we explain what aftercare will be necessary so you can plan around it. Once the procedure is complete, we provide a detailed aftercare sheet for you to follow. It includes information such as:
- When you can resume intercourse
- When you can return to the gym/complete strenuous tasks
- How to avoid infections
- What underwear you should use to best maintain desired results
- How to mould the filler to suit your goals
- Potential side effects you should know about
And this leaflet is not the only thing we’ll give you. We also provide you with antibiotics for a week after the treatment, again to reduce the chance of an infection. A member of our team will also be in touch after 2 days to check in and see how you’re doing.
After 2 weeks, we follow up again. If there are any concerns, this can be a visit to the clinic so Dr James can assess the changes himself. Sometimes you might notice something that isn’t any major, but you still want to ask about; we’re always happy to have a chat.
The chance of an infection is very low, but if there is anything wrong, you can contact the clinic at any time, or send us some pictures, and we’ll help you. We can then put together a treatment plan that will get things back on schedule.
